Microsoft Ranked First In Terms Of Capitalization In US

Microsoft has been recognized the most expensive company in the United States for the first time in more than fifteen years, according to Euronews.

Such information appeared after the end of trading. The total capitalization of the tech giant exceeded $851 billion. Thus, Microsoft managed to outrank its eternal rival Apple, the value of which is now estimated at $847 billion.

A severe struggle for primacy between the two transnational companies continued throughout the week. Microsoft managed to get ahead of Apple only after the management of the corporation decided to lower the price of the shares.

One of the reasons for the success of Microsoft was the fall in the value of the Apple securities. Since October 2018, its shares dropped by almost 25% because of the reduced demand for smartphones and the likelihood of imposing extra tariffs on Chinese goods due to the trade war between the US and China.
