US President Demands To Strengthen Control At Southern Border

Donald Trump, the head of the White House, demands to strengthen control at the border of the United States with Mexico, Euronews reports.

In his video message to the nation, the US president spoke about the escalation of the humanitarian crisis and security problems on the southern borders of the country. A large number of migrants come to America every year, there are millions of them, and they make the nation stronger. However, according to Trump, all this does not apply to illegal migrants. Therefore, law enforcement agencies need $5 billion to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, the president added.

Chuck Schumer, one of the leaders of the Democratic Party, believes that increased border control and the volume of the country’s budget are not connected at all. In his opinion, the head of the state did not convince the parliament of the need to build a wall, which led to the suspension of the work of government agencies.

The next meeting of President Trump with representatives of the Congress is to be held on January 9, 2019.
